I'm having a ball with my new vermicomposting bin with Meme's red wigglers. I'm a complete novice, and my worms appear to be thriving. On-line payment and on-site pickup was convenient for me too. This is a must have tool, especially for a beginner like me. I have an outdoor bin, and I keep the thermometer inside. It allows me to make sure my worms are not cooking ;-)

I couldn't be happier with the red wigglers I received! The worms arrived healthy, active, and in excellent condition. You can really tell they were well cared for before shipping. I was honestly impressed by how lively and strong they looked right out of the package. The quality exceeded my expectations, and they settled into my compost bin immediately.

The two pack thermometer is a great value. Thermometers are tough. Trust me, I've dropped them more than a few times. They're easy to read. You can just pop the top off your worm bin and you see whether you're you're cooking them, freezing them or they're in their happy zone
As I add more bins and warm locations in the future, definitely be adding a Meme worm thermometer to each of them

I use VermiFusion to attract worms to one side of the top tower bin. It really works!! I added a light layer of Vermi on top of bedding. Next day: there were many worms crawling all over that side. Didn’t take long for most worms to move to VermiFusion. Plus, it’s good nutrition for worms.

The worm chow works really well. I like to mix a couple tables spoons worth of it with coffee grounds or used tea leaves to moisten it. I lightly bury it close to the surface of my worm bag that has plenty of coco coir.

I looked at many different thermomoter styles before choosing Meme's. The quality is excellent, & I find it very easy to read. I actually have 3, for my downstairs, upstairs, & outside in-bed units.

Worms arrived healthy in their normal bedding. They seem to have settled well into my bedding. They are eating, growing up, and gaining weight.

First, i’ll memtion temps were in 80-90s. Unfortunately, the worms arrived in a putrid worm slime. The smell was awful. Couldnt get it out of my nose for hours.
The packaging was very wet, with no ventilation holes. I think the worms would have survived had thwor been ventulation holes.

They came on time, alive and active. I put them in my bin and they are doing great!

I am well pleased! When I got them, they were really scrawny (like you said they would!), but I no time they are fat and juicy - and really active! Im just so excited to have worms (maybe TOO excited?) You won'tbe disappointed!

Excellent service! Ups dropped the ball on shipping the first package. The day they should have arrived ups emailed me that the package was destroyed in transit and they would contact the shipper. Meme herself, called me that evening to reschedule. The second package arrived on time and in great shape.

Worms were well packaged and plumped up and happy after adjusting and feeding into their new home.
I had prepped my worm bin a week or more in advance with paper bag bedding, some composted manure, dry twigs and sticks, and scraps to help the microbiology develop for the worms.
I'm hoping they are happy enough to develop cocoons and multiply! They've done very well eating up scraps this far. The large end of a raw broccoli disappeared faster than I expected!
