IMHO this thermometer is a must have. I am often surprised to see how hot my bin is getting. I then take measures to cool it down before any harm comes to my little wormies. I wouldn't know when corrective action is needed if I didn't have the thermometer.
What is Wiggle Wednesday?
Every Wednesday, your inbox gets a little wigglier.
Wiggle Wednesday is a free weekly email sent every Wednesday, written personally by Samantha — aka Meme — founder of Meme's Worms, a working commercial worm farm in Valdosta, Georgia. It's not a newsletter in the traditional sense. There's no marketing team behind it, no fancy templates, no corporate fluff. It's just Samantha sitting down every week and sharing what she knows — from the dirt up.
Whether you're just setting up your first worm bin, running a hobbyist composting operation in your backyard, or managing a full-scale commercial vermicomposting business, Wiggle Wednesday was made for you.
What's Inside Every Wiggle Wednesday Email?
Each week's email is packed with practical, real-world worm farming knowledge — the kind that only comes from someone who actually does this every single day. Here's what you can expect:
- Beginner worm farming tips — perfect if you've just bought your first Red Wigglers or European Nightcrawlers and don't know where to start
- Worm bin troubleshooting — common problems, easy fixes, and what Meme actually does on her own farm
- Vermicomposting news — what's happening in the worm farming world for hobbyists and commercial growers alike
- Seasonal worm care advice — how to keep your worms thriving year-round, no matter your climate
- Honest, unfiltered insights — from someone raising, harvesting, and shipping composting worms across the United States every week
No clickbait. No filler. Just content-rich emails written from the heart of a real worm farm.
Especially Helpful If You're Just Starting Out
Starting a worm farm can feel overwhelming. What do you feed them? How wet should the bedding be? Why are your worms trying to escape? What's that white fuzzy stuff?
Wiggle Wednesday answers questions like these every single week — before you even have to ask. It's the closest thing to having a worm farming mentor in your inbox. Samantha has spent years teaching gardeners, homesteaders, educators, and commercial growers everything they need to know about vermicomposting, and she brings that same hands-on experience straight to your inbox every Wednesday.
