At Meme’s Worms, we know you’re not just ordering composting worms—you’re counting on them to arrive alive, healthy, and ready to get to work. That’s why we offer a 100% Live Arrival Guarantee* on most worm orders* and take extra care in how we pack and ship every single box. Here’s everything you need to know before your order goes out the door.
When We Ship
We ship live worms every Monday and Friday, using either USPS Priority Mail or UPS Ground (On Fridays, we ship only USPS)—whichever is best for your area and current weather conditions.
- We don’t ship later in the week to avoid weekend delays that could stress out your worms.
- Want your order shipped on Monday or Friday? Place your order by midnight (local time) the night before your preferred shipping day.
For example: Orders placed before Sunday midnight will ship Monday and vice versa for Friday.
If the weather’s too extreme or there’s a major holiday, we may hold your order for a safer delivery window to ensure the worms arrive in good condition.
How Long Does It Take?
Most worm orders arrive within 2–3 business days after shipping (continental U.S. only). Once your box hits the road, we’ll email you a tracking number so you can follow your shipment. Be sure to check your inbox (and your spam or promotions folder, just in case).
Shipping Costs
We like to keep it simple:

Free shipping on everything—except for trommels and bulk worm orders (10 lbs or more).

For bulk worm orders, shipping is calculated at checkout. Please note: if you don’t choose overnight or 2-day shipping, our Live Arrival Guarantee will not apply.

We stand behind our worms. If something goes wrong, we’ll work with you to make it right.
To qualify for our Live Arrival Guarantee:
- Be home or request that your post office hold your shipment to prevent worms from sitting in extreme temperatures.
- Check your worms immediately upon arrival.
- If there’s a problem, contact us within 2 hours of delivery. We may ask for a quick photo of the worms and the box to help us troubleshoot.
Please note: We can’t accept returns for live worms—once they’ve left us, they won’t survive a round trip.
How We Pack?
Each order is hand-packed with care. Your worms are placed in breathable cotton bags, cushioned with dry peat moss, and shipped in sturdy boxes labeled “LIVE WORMS.” They may appear a bit sluggish upon arrival—don’t worry! Give them a few hours to adjust to their new home, and they’ll perk up quickly.

Ordering Other Products?
Non-live items—like worm bins, compost kits, or accessories—ship via UPS or USPS and typically arrive within 5–7 business days.
